The idea for InPacity was born in the final mile. As a second generation owner & president of a final mile company, one day our founder was faced with the dilemma of reducing 15% off a customer’s spend or lose the account. After wasting countless days searching online and making phone calls to find another carrier to partner with, a perfect match was finally made. The new carrier operated an existing route traveling in the same direction, with available capacity and could deliver the same freight for a fraction of the cost. After saving this valuable client relationship and increasing the new carrier’s bottom line, the light bulb went off …
Shippers, particularly those in the less than truckload (LTL) freight sector, face several challenges when searching for a volume or spot quote today. Its a complicated process of evaluating the correct commodity class, understanding complex price charts and searching for a carrier with the right equipment & available capacity. What’s worse is that shippers now need to shorten their supply chain to meet consumers increasing demand to receive shipments faster.
InPacity through our proprietary matching algorithm, we help carriers find the jobs that best fit their unique delivery network to maximize its available capacity.
